The variety is classified as late-autumn or early-winter: harvest maturity occurs in mid-October, consumer maturity in November–December. Under storage conditions, the fruits can be kept until February. The tree is characterized by vigorous growth; when using appropriate rootstocks, it can be grown as a compact tree.
The fruits are large or very large, pear-shaped, sometimes asymmetrical. Upon ripening, the skin is golden-yellow, often with a blush and reticulated russeting. The flesh is white, delicate, buttery, very juicy, with a sweet taste and subtle aroma.
The variety possesses high winter hardiness and is resistant to brown leaf spot and iron chlorosis. It is a table variety, intended primarily for fresh consumption.
