The tree is characterized by medium vigor. Fruits are medium to large in size, weighing from 150 to 230 grams, and ripen between September 1 and September 10. The primary skin color is dull green with a bronze-red blush; the flesh is yellowish-white, juicy, and has a sweet and sour taste.

Abate Fetel, Williams, and Lipanjska ljepotica are used as pollinator varieties. The variety is widely used as an interstock when grafting onto quince to overcome incompatibility with other pear varieties.
