Invernale (di Fondi) is a traditional ecotype of Pyrus domestica, originating from the vicinity of the towns of Fondi and Sperlonga. The variety is included in regional programs for the conservation of genetic resources and is under the supervision of specialized agencies for the protection of agrobiodiversity.

The variety name indicates its belonging to the group of winter pears, whose fruits acquire consumer qualities after long-term storage. Detailed morphological and agronomic characteristics of the plant are practically absent in open publications, as the variety has limited distribution and is an object of historical cultural heritage.
