Jut variety, also known as Juttepeer or Gute Graue, is an old tree of folk selection. The tree is long-lived, reaches 4–5 meters in height depending on the rootstock and forms a broad crown, which lifts with age. The tree branches can be brittle.

The fruits are dark green, turning rust-brown upon ripening. The flesh is characterized as sweet, juicy and melting, with a delicate aroma. Harvesting takes place in September. The variety is relatively resistant to diseases, but it is not self-fertile and requires the presence of pollinators, such as Beurre Hardy, Conference, Charneux or Triomphe de Vienne.
