The medium-sized fruits have a round, slightly flattened, or turbinate shape. The skin is pale yellowish-green with small russet or gray dots. The fruit flesh is white, juicy, with a musky or spicy flavor. Fruit ripening occurs in October.
The tree is distinguished by high winter hardiness, vigorous growth, and good productivity. The plant may retain wild traits, including the presence of thorns on the branches. Historically, the variety was used as a table crop for orchards.
