The variety is late-ripening; harvesting begins from the second half of October, and the fruits retain their quality until the end of November. The trees are characterized by vigorous growth and longevity, reaching a height of more than 13 meters with a sprawling crown.
The fruits are medium-sized, ranging from broadly round to pear-shaped, often with an uneven, bumpy surface. The color at maturity changes from light green to yellow, and the skin may be partially covered with russeting. The flesh is juicy, sweet-and-sour, astringent, and aromatic.
The variety is considered a processing cultivar and is used for manufacturing, particularly for the preparation of traditional pear ciders and juices, to which it adds astringency, acidity, and minerality.
