The tree is characterized by very vigorous growth, forming a spreading, often irregular crown with drooping branches. The variety enters bearing early, is partially self-fertile; for better pollination, Clapp's Favorite, Arabitka, or Beurré Diel varieties are recommended.

Fruits ripen from mid-August to early September, have a medium size and a shape ranging from broadly pyriform to elongated-ovate, the surface is often bumpy. The color at maturity varies from greenish-yellow to straw-yellow. The flesh is yellowish-white, sweet, sometimes with a muscat flavor.

The variety is susceptible to scab. It grows well in warm regions on humus-rich moist soils, tolerates dry sandy areas poorly. The fruits have a short shelf life and are prone to rapid over-ripening, so the variety is recommended primarily for home gardens.
