The Oharkula pear is a local folk variety. Within the framework of biodiversity conservation projects, samples of this variety were collected and propagated for the establishment of gene banks in Rokytnice and Bojkovice.
The fruits of the variety ripen in August and have a characteristic striped skin, visually resembling the Schweizer Hose variety. The primary intended use of the harvest is for drying and the preparation of compotes.
