Variety description

10 August 2026

The tree is characterized by weak to moderate growth, reaching a height of 4–4.5 meters. The crown of young plants has a pyramidal shape, which becomes spreading with age. The variety shows good compatibility with quince rootstock, which allows for growing it in the form of dwarf trees.

The plant is demanding of growing conditions and needs wind-protected sites, deep and nutrient-rich soils with sufficient moisture. Trees are relatively winter hardy and show resistance to scab.

Fruits are of winter maturity: harvest occurs in the first half of October, consumer maturity — in December. Fruits are oblate, often bumpy, weighing from 150–200 g to 400–600 g on dwarf rootstocks. The gray-green color at ripening changes to dark yellow with russeting.

The flesh is yellowish-white, juicy, buttery and melting, has a sweet taste with a slight acidity and a spicy or almond hint. The variety is intended for fresh consumption; the fruits retain quality until March.
