The Pstružka variety tree is characterized by vigorous growth and forms a high crown, which becomes spherical with age. The branches have a tendency toward an oblique-vertical orientation. The variety is demanding of soil conditions, prefers fertile and warm sites, and possesses high susceptibility to scab under unfavorable conditions, while the wood of mature trees is resistant to frost.
The fruits are medium to small in size and have a varied shape: pear-shaped, rounded, or barrel-shaped. The surface is orange-yellow with reddish speckles. The fruit flesh is white, buttery, very juicy, with a sweet taste and cinnamon aroma. Fruiting begins in the 5–8 year, often showing periodicity of yield.
The variety belongs to the winter group; harvesting begins in early October. Consumer maturity of the fruits is reached in the period from November to January. The fruits are dessert type, used fresh, and are also suitable for various types of processing, including canning and the production of distillates.
