The rootstock provides good compatibility with most commercial pear varieties. Trees on this rootstock are characterized by early onset of bearing, high yield, and reduced alternate bearing.
The plant possesses good winter hardiness and anchorage, as well as resistance to chlorosis, which allows it to adapt to various soil types. Biological characteristics include moderate resistance to fire blight Erwinia amylovora.
