The fruits are medium-sized and pyriform in shape; the skin is green with spots. The plant itself is characterized as medium-sized, which makes it suitable for cultivation in small orchards.

The variety has medium to high susceptibility to fire blight, caused by Erwinia amylovora, and requires control of this disease. The primary commercial purpose of the variety is the production of dried pear, known as Pêra Passa, and strong alcoholic beverages.
