The variety was obtained in 1936 as a result of crossing Curé and Napoleon pears. The fruits are distinguished by an elongated shape and can reach a weight of up to 300 grams.

The variety ripens in September. In Estonian conditions, it is characterized by insufficient winter hardiness, which is why it has not become widely distributed; however, it shows good results in yield and disease resistance in other regions, for example, in the Brest region.
