Variety description

10 August 2026

The tree is characterized by medium vigor and a semi-open crown type. The variety is a summer type, with the ripening period occurring from the end of July to the beginning of August. To ensure a stable yield, cross-pollination with the Blanquilla de Aranjuez or Ercolini varieties is recommended.

The fruits have an elongated pear shape with a pronounced neck and weigh about 115–125 g. The skin is smooth, green-yellow, often with a pink or carmine blush on the sunny side. The flesh is white, firm, juicy, and refreshing. In cold storage, the fruits keep for about a month.

The variety is historically associated with the Segorbe region in the province of Castellón. It is found under the synonyms Tendral de Segorbe and Segorbino. Currently, it is grown mainly in collections or by producers specializing in rare varieties.
