The Urraca variety is a local pear variety common in Galicia (Spain). The first mentions of it date back to 1850. The variety is actively studied as part of genetic research and is included in the germplasm collections of the Mabegondo Agricultural Research Center.

Scientific publications focus on genotype identification and distinguishing this variety from other commercial counterparts using microsatellite markers. Detailed agronomic characteristics of the species are presented in open sources to a limited extent.

There is a variety called Urraca Grande, the fruits of which are characterized by a large size of about 65 mm, yellow-green color, the presence of a copper blush, and rough skin.
