CH 201
ActivePyrus communis L. · European pear
EST. PRODUCTIVO DE DANILO CHRISTEN
10 August 2026
The variety forms a beautiful, slender, elegant, and productive tree with numerous branches. Due to late entry into fruiting when grown on a seedling rootstock, the use of quince is recommended to accelerate the process. The variety is characterized by longevity, but also by insufficient winter hardiness and susceptibility to fire blight.
The fruits are medium-sized, have pale yellow skin with gray dots and possible russeting. The fruit flesh is white, tender, buttery, and distinguished by juiciness and sweetness with a delicate aroma. The variety matures in October; the fruits are suitable for storage and transportation. The main purpose is home gardening.
