The variety was obtained by crossing the varieties Olivier de Serres and Josephine de Malines. The tree is of medium vigor, shows a tendency to enter the bearing stage early at 3–4 years, and is distinguished by high, stable productivity.

The fruit ripening period falls at the end of September – October. Fruits weighing 180–220 g have a pear or bergamot shape, yellow-green skin, and juicy fine-grained flesh. The variety is partially self-fertile; for a better harvest, pollinators such as Williams or Conference are required.

The fruits are suitable for fresh consumption and processing; their storage life is 1–2 months. The plant is characterized by resistance to major diseases and pests.
