The tree is characterized by good growth vigor and an upright crown habit. The variety flowers in February–March, with fruit ripening occurring in the second ten-day period of August.
The fruits are large and have a top-like shape. The skin is smooth, intensely yellow in color, and lacks a blush. The flesh is creamy white, juicy, and sweet, with a delicate, fine texture.
The variety is autochthonous to Sicily and is historically distributed in the Bronte area. Currently, it is grown for the local market and is also of interest for agrobiodiversity conservation programs.
