The tree is characterized by medium vigor and forms a broad-pyramidal crown. The medium-sized fruits have a spherical or blunt-conical shape and smooth skin, which turns light yellow upon ripening. The fruit flesh is fine-grained, sweet, with low acid and tannin content.
The variety is classified as a summer or early autumn type, with the harvest period occurring from late August to September. The tree is hardy and undemanding, with low susceptibility to fire blight. Fruiting begins relatively late and can be prone to alternate bearing.
Due to the characteristics of the flesh consistency, the variety is practically not consumed fresh, being one of the best for the production of pear schnapps with a characteristic aroma.
