CH 201
ActivePyrus communis L. · European pear
EST. PRODUCTIVO DE DANILO CHRISTEN
10 August 2026
The tree features medium vigor, high productivity, and the ability to bear fruit in clusters. The variety is extremely hardy and adapts well to poor, stony soils and the challenging climatic conditions of hilly and mountainous areas. It is also used as a rootstock for other pear varieties.
The fruits are very small, round or apple-shaped, and have thick, wrinkled skin that is yellow-rusty or brownish in color. Due to their high firmness, tannin content, and stone cells, the flesh is inedible when raw and requires mandatory culinary processing: boiling, baking, or preparing jams.
The variety belongs to the autumn-winter group. Harvesting takes place in the second half of October. The fruits have good keeping quality and can be stored for several months.
