The variety forms a vigorous plant with a height of 1 to 1.5 meters. The petioles are characterized as long, reaching 50 cm, wide and dense. The taste is described as harmonious, with a balance of sweetness and acidity, less acidic than most varieties.

The plant is frost-resistant, capable of overwintering in open ground in zones 3–4, and is resistant to lodging. When grown from seeds, the variety is ready for harvest one year after sowing. The petioles are suitable for making juices, compotes, marmalade, sauces, and side dishes; the variety is also suitable for forcing.

Modern identification of the variety can be difficult due to the peculiarities of rhubarb propagation by seeds. Only the petioles are edible, as the plant's leaves contain a high concentration of oxalic acid.
