The variety is classified as mid-season; the harvest period falls in May–June. The plant forms large green leaves and thick pink-colored stalks, which are characterized by juiciness and an absence of fibers.

The plant possesses a certain resistance to root rot, however, it exhibits susceptibility to red leaf spot. Due to its tender texture and bittersweet taste, it is used primarily in cooking for the preparation of desserts and preserves.

The variety name indicates specific characteristics of reproductive organ formation; however, in practice, the variety is traditionally propagated vegetatively by dividing rhizomes.
