10 August 2026
Early-maturing variety with a growing season of about 30–40 days. Plant height ranges from 40–60 cm to 1 m, the leaf rosette can reach a diameter of 1.5–2 m. Petioles are thick, succulent, without pronounced fiber, light green with pink or cherry coloration at the base.
The plant possesses high frost resistance and tolerates temperature drops down to -30°C. Relatively resistant to diseases, however, it is susceptible to root neck rot under waterlogged conditions. Petioles are suitable for fresh consumption and processing; leaves should not be eaten due to oxalic acid.
The variety is often grown from seeds, which leads to genetic variability of the plants. To maintain characteristics, vegetative propagation by division of the bush is recommended.
