The Mikoot rhubarb variety belongs to the very early maturity group. The plant forms large, succulent, oval-shaped leaves with wavy edges and massive green petioles. Plant height varies from 50 to 100 cm.

The harvesting period for petioles usually falls between May and July. In culinary applications, the petioles are used for making compotes, jams, and desserts. The plant's leaves are poisonous and unsuitable for consumption.
