The plant forms large green-red leaves, reaching a height of about 1.5 meters and a width of more than 1 meter. The petioles have a red-green color and green flesh, characterized by good taste qualities with reduced acidity, although the texture can be fibrous.

The variety is classified as early-maturing; harvesting is possible from the end of April or May. It is used as a food plant for the preparation of various dishes, as well as in landscape design.
