The variety "Babītes Inga" is a deciduous rhododendron (azalea). Its flowers have a simple tubular-funnel shape, reach 6–8 cm in diameter, and are clay-pink in color with a bright yellow spot on the upper petal. The variety is characterized by high winter hardiness.
Other varieties named "Inga" that are not related to Latvian breeding are found in commercial sales. These include the Rhododendron (Simsii Grp) "Inga" variety — a compact shrub 30–40 cm tall with double flowers for potted cultivation, as well as the evergreen Azalea indica "Inga" with semi-double bright pink flowers for open field cultivation in warm regions.
