Variety description

The variety is a broad and compact shrub. Over 13 years, the plant reaches a height of about 1.0 m with a width of 1.2 m. The annual growth is 10–15 cm for mature plants and 20–25 cm for young ones. The flowering period falls in the first week of May.

The main agronomic trait is genetically determined tolerance to calcareous soils. The variety is used as a rootstock, ensuring the viability of the scion on soils that are unsuitable for ordinary rhododendrons.
