The plant belongs to deciduous rhododendrons and reaches a height of 2.5 meters. Pale pink flowers with yellow spots on the upper petal are collected in inflorescences of 11, each flower having a diameter of about 5.5 cm. The variety has no scent.
Flowering occurs from the end of May to the beginning of June and lasts about 21 days. The variety has good winter hardiness, corresponding to USDA zone 5. Cultivation requires moist, fertile, and drained soils with a pH of 4.5–5.0.
Sanitary pruning is recommended for maintenance. Given the shallow root system, soil cultivation around the shrub should be carried out with caution.
