The variety is a compact shrub, reaching a height of 0.75–0.8 m and a width of about 1.3 m at 10 years of age. The plant's leaves are slightly glossy.
Flowering occurs in mid-May. Flowers up to 7 cm in diameter are gathered in dome-shaped inflorescences and have a saturated purple-pink color with a dark red pattern.
The plant possesses high resistance to diseases, heat, and sun, and withstands temperature drops down to -24 °C.
