The variety is a mutant obtained from the Noir de Bourgogne variety. It belongs to an old breeding line, mentions of which are found in literature from the mid-20th century. The harvest ripens in the first ten days of July, which makes it earlier in ripening time than the original form.

The produce retains the intense color and strong aroma characteristic of the Noir de Bourgogne variety, which determines the use of the variety primarily for the production of liqueurs, juices, and jams. Precise data on bush morphology and disease resistance are absent in the available materials.
