The variety belongs to the Scandinavian subspecies group of Ribes nigrum. Due to its genetic traits, it has been actively used as a parent form in breeding new varieties, including Siberian varieties.

The berries of the variety are characterized by a mild taste and good aroma; they are suitable for fresh consumption and serve as raw material for juice production. The fruit ripening period occurs in July–August.
