The VICA R3 variety, known under the commercial name Alegría, belongs to everbearing (primocane) varieties. It is distinguished by a short vegetation cycle: fruiting begins 115 days after planting or 70–80 days after pruning.
Plants of this variety are characterized by high productivity, amounting to about 2 kg per bush over two fruiting cycles, and low chilling hour requirements. The berries are large in size, have a sugar level of about 10 degrees Brix, and possess good keeping quality.
