The plant is a product of hybridization of the blackberry species Rubus ursinus and the raspberry variety Jewel. The shrub forms shoots reaching 3 meters in length.
The berries of the variety have a dark color and an oval shape; they are smaller in size than those of the Tayberry hybrid. The fruits are characterized by firm detachment from the receptacle, due to which they do not shatter, however, in the absence of timely harvesting, they may shrivel on the branches. The yield of the variety is characterized as medium.
