Root vegetables of the Maxima variety reach 30–40 cm in length, possess a smooth surface and a blunt end. The skin is colored dark black, and the white flesh is characterized by a delicate flavor. The plant forms a leaf rosette 45 to 60 cm in height.
The variety is considered less sensitive to bolting compared to other varieties. Due to the uniformity of the root vegetables and high yield, it is suitable for both home garden and industrial cultivation, and it can also overwinter directly in the soil.
The plant's root vegetables find wide application in cooking, where they are used for preparing soups, sauces, and are also consumed boiled or fried.
