The variety was obtained by crossing lines MPI 65.346/19 (or MPI 65.346/9) and UP 5.332/10. A key feature is high resistance to PVY, while the variety is characterized by susceptibility to the golden potato cyst nematode.

Due to its genetic characteristics, the variety has been actively used in scientific breeding programs as source material for studying genetic markers for virus resistance and tuber quality indicators.
