The variety was obtained as a result of breeding work at the Sumy National Agrarian University. The plant genealogy is based on the crossing of the German variety Adretta and the nematode-resistant Belarusian hybrid 82.767-35N. In a number of documents, the variety is found under the alternative name Sumchanka-2.
The potato possesses high resistance to the potato cyst nematode. The variety yield is 23–26 t/ha, and the starch content in the tubers reaches 16%. The variety has undergone testing under the conditions of the northeastern Forest-Steppe of Ukraine and is recommended for food production and industrial processing.
