The variety is the result of crossing T5 × (Goldwährung × Ella). The plant forms a bush of medium height with red flowers. There is a high number of tubers per stem, which form deep in the soil on long stolons, which prevents them from greening.
The tubers have thick skin and yellow flesh; the starch content is about 17%. The variety is characterized by excellent resistance to common scab, nematode, and potato leafroll virus, medium resistance of the haulm to late blight, but is sensitive to Rhizoctonia.
The haulm has a tendency to lodging at the end of the growing season. The variety is classified as table-use, has a mealy structure, and is suitable for mashing, baking, or roasting.
