The variety is a sister clone to the Buchan and Brodie varieties, obtained from crossing the Croft and Cara varieties. In Mediterranean trial conditions, it matured 10–14 days earlier than the parent variety Cara.
The tubers are oval-shaped with cream flesh and red eyes. The variety was primarily oriented toward export markets.
