The variety was obtained as a result of the cross «Wohltmann» × «Erica». Depending on growing conditions, the variety is characterized as very late. Historically intended for use as a fodder crop and for starch production, it is known for its ability to produce high-starch offspring.
In scientific literature, the variety is mentioned as an object of genetic research, in particular when studying chimeras and the effect of gibberellic acid on germination. Currently, the variety belongs to the heirloom category and is preserved primarily in scientific collections.
