The variety was obtained by crossing Cecile and Rosagold. The plant is characterized by rapid initial development, a strong habit, and violet flowers. The tubers are large, have a uniform shape, red skin, and light yellow flesh. The dry matter content is approximately 20.6%.
The potato is resistant to potato cyst nematode (RO 1–4). Susceptibility to late blight of leaves and tubers and virus X is noted, as well as moderate susceptibility to common scab and susceptibility to virus A. The variety is slightly susceptible to after-cooking darkening and mechanical damage, but sensitive to raw flesh darkening. Not suitable for the production of chips and french fries.
