The variety is used in genetic research as an object with valuable traits; in particular, it possesses resistance to potato wart (Synchytrium endobioticum). The variety has also been used to create populations resistant to nematodes (Globodera pallida) and to study markers of resistance to viruses, including PVY.

In agronomic sources, the variety was considered in the context of its suitability for processing, for example, into chips, while maintaining marketable qualities after storage at low temperatures.
