The variety belongs to the late-maturing group. At the present time, the variety has been removed from the Polish state register at the initiative of the breeders.
Historically, Uran was mentioned as one of the popular varieties in Polish seed production. In scientific literature, it is encountered in the context of use under laboratory conditions for studying virus strains, including potato virus Y (PVY). Detailed morphological characteristics and data on economic suitability are absent in open sources.
