The hybrid is a heat-loving annual crop capable of reaching a height of 1.5 to 3.6 meters. It possesses a developed root system and a waxy coating on the leaves, which ensures high resistance to arid conditions. The plant does not tolerate frosts and dies upon their onset.

The stems of the hybrid are juicy and sweet. The highest quality biomass is obtained by mowing during the period from the jointing stage to the beginning of panicle emergence. The crop is used for the production of hay and silage, as well as a cover crop for improving soil structure and weed control.

When cultivating, one should consider the risk of prussic acid accumulation in plant tissues during periods of drought or after frosts, which requires caution when using it as livestock feed.
