The variety Jotab 02, also known by the commercial name Best Green Velvet, is a compact woody plant. It has a lower height compared to the variety Jotab 01 and is characterized by a dense structure, making it suitable for forming topiary shapes.
The plant prefers well-drained soils and is sensitive to waterlogging, which can cause Phytophthora infection. It is a perennial species classified as Taxus baccata and possesses winter hardiness down to -25 ˚C.
