Triticum aestivum L. subsp. spelta (L.) Thell. Spelt · Agricultural · bred by Dr. Christoph Kling in Universität Hohenheim - Landessaatzuchtanstalt -

also searched as: кералио

Variety description

10 August 2026

The variety has a shorter stem compared to traditional landrace spelt varieties, which contributes to an increased harvest index. The plant retains morphological traits characteristic of spelt, including tightly adhering glumes.

The grain of the variety is distinguished by a high protein content, good baking qualities, and high antioxidant potential. The variety is intended for commercial cultivation and is often used as a reference in scientific research.

The breeding of the variety was carried out at the University of Hohenheim as part of programs to improve the agronomic characteristics of spelt.
