Variety description

10 August 2026

The variety is genetically closest to reference common wheat varieties compared to traditional landraces. The plant is short-stemmed, which ensures increased resistance to lodging compared to tall spelt varieties.

The gluten of this variety possesses the extensibility characteristic of spelt but differs from traditional varieties due to selective breeding. In scientific literature, the variety was considered in the context of research on resistance to powdery mildew, and mapping of the corresponding resistance gene was conducted for it.
