The variety is intended for grain production and flour milling. It was bred by the Italian research center CREA-CI and often serves as an object of comparative genetic, biochemical, and agronomic analysis.
The plant belongs to winter forms. Scientific studies include the assessment of the heading period, resistance to pests, in particular to the rice weevil, as well as the study of the protein profile and dough characteristics after fermentation.
