The SM Fides variety is a winter form of spelt. In the Polish classification, the variety is designated by the term orkisz and represents the result of breeding work to improve the characteristics of this wheat species.
The variety is intended for processing into food products, including flour for bakery goods, pasta, groats, and flakes. Spelt grain possesses a dense husk which provides natural protection against pests and unfavorable external factors.
