The variety belongs to tall-growing spelt species. Compared to older varieties, it possesses increased lodging resistance, however, it is inferior to modern semi-dwarf breeding forms in this parameter.
The plant possesses immunity to yellow rust. Studies show a tendency of the variety to accumulate mycotoxins when affected by Fusarium head blight, which distinguishes it from a number of other studied spelt varieties.
