The spring wheat variety Baldus was created from the parental lines Sicco and Kolibri. The plant was noted for high yield, good baking properties, and grain quality characteristics.
The variety demonstrated good results not only in spring but also in autumn sowing. It possessed resistance to major diseases typical for the UK region. Currently, the variety is obsolete and has been removed from registers.
